1. Who I am

My name is David Pullara, and I run PullaraListens.ca.

The purpose of this site is to give residents of Bradford West Gwillimbury a simple way to share their views and priorities with me.

2. My commitment to your privacy

I respect your privacy and do my best to handle your personal information in line with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where it applies.

I aim to collect only what I need, keep it as secure as is reasonably possible for an individual, and use it only for the purposes described in this policy.

3. What information I collect

Through the survey embedded on this site, I collect:

• Ward information, including which Ward you live in, or that you do not live in BWG.
• Neighbourhood or area name, if you choose to provide it.
• How long you have lived in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
• Your views on local issues, including the most important issues facing your community, what you would like to see change, and any other comments you choose to share.
• Whether you would like me to contact you to discuss your feedback.
• Your contact information, including your name, phone number, email address, and preferred contact method, if you choose to provide those details.

Standard internet tools used by the site or by the embedded survey service may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and basic visit details for security and analytics.

4. Why I collect your information

I may use the information you provide to:

• Understand what residents of Bradford West Gwillimbury care about and what they want from local government.
• Help shape my views, priorities, and decisions on local issues.
• Contact you if you have asked me to follow up about your feedback or questions.
• Plan outreach and communication within different wards and neighbourhoods.
• Keep basic records of who has shared feedback with me, so I can track and respond to themes over time.

I may also use your survey responses, without your name or contact details, with various AI systems to analyze the data and create summaries of what I am hearing from residents.

I may choose, at my discretion, to share those non-identifying summaries with current members of Council or with other people involved in local decision-making to help inform their work and platforms.

I will not use your personal information for unrelated commercial purposes, and I will not add you to general marketing lists outside of this context without your consent.

5. Consent

By completing the survey or otherwise providing personal information through PullaraListens.ca, you consent to my collecting, using, and storing that information as described in this policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me and asking me to stop using your information and to delete it, subject to any legal requirement that allows or requires me to keep certain records.

6. How I store and protect your information

I store your information on my personal computer and other personal devices that I control, and in commercial cloud services that I use to run my tools, such as survey, storage, or email services.

I take reasonable steps that are practical for an individual to protect your personal information, such as using passwords, access controls, and reputable services.

However, I am not responsible for any security incident that occurs within those commercial cloud services themselves, because they are operated by third-party companies outside of my direct control.

7. How long I keep your information

I may keep your information until you ask me to delete it, unless I am required or permitted by law to keep it longer.

If you ask me to delete your information, I will do so within a reasonable time, except where I am required or permitted by law to keep it.

8. How I share information

I will never sell your personal information to anyone.

I will not share your personal contact details, such as your name, email address, or phone number, with other candidates, political parties, third-party advertisers, or commercial organizations.

I may share aggregated or summarized survey results that do not identify you personally, including with current members of Council or other people involved in local decision-making, to help them understand what residents are saying.

I may also disclose personal information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or legal process.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask whether I hold personal information about you, ask for access to it, ask me to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask me to delete it, subject to legal limits.

I may need to ask for information to confirm your identity before I respond.

10. Cookies and website tools

PullaraListens.ca and the embedded survey may use cookies or similar tools to keep the site working properly and to understand how often the site is visited and which parts are most useful.

You can usually control or disable cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may affect how some parts of the site or embedded survey work.

11. Links and embedded services

This site embeds a survey hosted by Google Forms and includes links to other websites.

Those services and websites are operated by third parties with their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for their privacy practices. You should review their policies when you use those services.

12. Changes to this policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time if my practices or the law change. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
